"Heraldica en la Argentina" gives information on a flag adopted in 1997 but
no description of it.

I found this link, giving 1968 for the adoption of the shield and 2007 for

The local motto "Cuna de la Bandera Bonaerense" is interestingly
flag-related, as it means "Cradle of the Buenos Aires flag" - referring, a bit
surprisingly, not to the city flag, which is historical,
but to the provincial flag, which is a recent creation
by local schoolboys.
