This standard is shown on the website of a flag embroiderer.
It is of red colour, in the center is a white circle showing Saint Florian on a cloud extinguishing a fire on a church and
another building; the circle surrounded by oak branches, under the circle a scroll with the inscription "Gott zur Ehr', dem Nächsten zur Wehr" (To
the glory of God, to the defence of the neighbour), at the bottom the inscription "Gewidmet von Anna Schlötter" (dedicated by Anna Schlötter);
in the corners there are two shields containing the inscription "Einer für Alle!" (one for all) and "Alle für Einen!" (all for one).
The whole making of the flag suggests an earlier origin, so it is probably patterned after an older flag. The image of Saint Florian is
one of the most frequently shown on fire-brigade flags, as he is the patron-saint of firefighters. The inscriptions are frequently shown on
fire-brigade flags as well.

The new standard was consecrated 1998.
It is square, of brown colour and shows the symbols diagonally arranged (from top): arms of
Abtenau; inscription "Freiwillige Feuerwehr" (voluntary fire-brigade); an emblem made of a fire-man's helmet, a
ladder, two tools, a scroll and some green branches; a scroll with the inscriptions "Voglau", "1923" (foundation) and "1998" (consecration of
the standard); a shield with some inscription. The reverse surely is different, but there is no photograph of it.
The symbolism is typical for a lot of current fire-brigade standards, showing the municipal arms, important dates and some fire-brigade
related symbols.
