Explanation: A bandeira foi escolhida por meio de concurso realizado pela
administração regional em parceria com o Jornal de Ceilândia, mas seu autor se perdeu pela falta de registro. Ela estampa com destaque a caixa d'água
da cidade, símbolo da região desde a sua fundação. As cinco estrelas representam os cinco setores originais da Ceilândia: Norte, Sul e Centro, P Norte e P Sul.
[The flag was chosen through a contest held by the regional administration in partnership with the Journal of Ceilândia, but its creator was lost because of lack of registration. It highlights the city water tower, a symbol of the region since its founding. The five stars represent the five original Ceilândia sectors: North, South and Central, North P and P South.]
