The symbols of Taquaral were designed by Lauro Ribeiro Escobar.
The flag is blue with a yellow triangle charged with a red triangle itself charged with a white triangle placed along the hoist. The municipal coat of arms is placed along the hoist. The flag is in dimensions 14 units x 20 units. The yellow triangle has a length of 19.5 units, the red triangle has a length of 12 units, and the white triangle has a length of 9.5 units. The coat of arms has a size of 6.5 units. The meaning of the colours is the same as on the coat of arms. Blue, yellow, red and white are the official colours of Taquaral. The superimposed triangles form arrows representing the impulse of Taquaral towards a prosperous future.
