City of Zhodino is independent city. That status to the city was granted in 1963. The coat of arms was adopted on 22.09.1998, and flag on 21.07.2008. Description of the coat of arms: The coat of arms of the city of Zhodino is a depiction on the red field of the Varangian shield of a silver female figure holding a shield of the same metal in which there are three black hunting horns (the coat of arms of the Trumpet). The coat of arms of the “Pipe†(Tronba) belonged to the surname of the Radziwills, owners of the city in the past. At one time, the settlement was even called Zhodino-Bohuslav in honor of Prince Bohuslav Radziwill. Description of the flag: The flag of the city of Zhodino is a rectangular red cloth with an aspect ratio of 1: 2, in the center of the front side of which a female figure of white color is depicted, holding a white shield with three black hunting horns located on it.
