The Village of Standard, Alberta (population: 380) is located in the County of Wheatland approximately 80 km east of Calgary. The agricultural basis of the local economy is reflected in the depiction on the flag of a grain elevator and wheat. In the centre of the flag is a cross and heart with the words across it: “Standard Alberta Heart of Wheatland”. The periphery of logo on the flag is in the shape of the boundaries of Wheatland County.
