Les
Éboulements, one of the original seigneuries of New France, is now a
municipality located in Charlevoix county (MRC), in the Capitale-nationale
administrative region of Quebec.
Here is a translation of the flag's
symbolism:
Green stands for the earthly origins of the population and blue
for its links to the sea, while gold symbolizes its energy. In the center lies
the floral emblem of the municipality, the orange hawkweed (Hieracium
aurantiacum), chosen for its high presence on the territory and use on
municipal welcome signs, as well as in the production of paper by the
Papeterie St-Gilles, the local paper mill.
