Municipalité de Saint-Nazaire d'Acton is a town in MRC d'Acton.
The parish
municipality of Saint-Nazaire-d'Acton (884 inhabitants in 2016; 5,820 ha) is
located 30 km south-west of Drummondville.
Saint-Nazaire-d'Acton was
canonically erected a parish on 20 April 1893, separating of Saint-Théodore-d'Acton,
Saint-Éphrem-d'Upton, Saint-Germain-de-Grantham and Saint-Jean-l'Évangéliste-de-Wickham.
Originally known as Saint-Nazaire-et-Compagnons-Martyrs, the parish was
colloquially known as Saint-Nazaire-d'Acton, a name that was retained when the
municipality was created in 1894. The name refers to Nazaire Vadnais, one of the
founders of the parish, whose biography is unknown.

Saint-Nazaire-d'Acton is the birth place of Ernest
Dufault, author, as Will James, of 26 books he illustrated himself. Scribner's
Magazine prompted him to gather his short stories in "Cowboys, North and South,
which was released in 1924 as his first book. "Smoky", his third book, was
awarded the National Prize of Youth Books.
For his contribution to the image
of the West and of cow-boys, he entered the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City
on 21 March 1992, 50 years after his death and 100 years after his birth.

Flag is complicated, and could not find a complete picture, but
is gold
and black details on white. Municipal arms appear to be
in upper hoist.
