"FRANJA VERDE ESMERALDA: Ubicada en la parte superior, simboliza los campos y la esperanza de progreso del municipio. Constituye la mitad de la bandera.
FRANJA BLANCA: En el centro significa la paz que necesitan las gentes Bellezanas.
FRANJA AZUL: En la parte inferior el color azul simboliza el azul de los cielos y las corrientes hídricas que bañan esta pequeña población Santandereana. Haciendo estos últimos colores la otra mitad de la bandera."
