The municipality of Büyükkonuk (Greek, Κώμη Κεπίρ; 2,860 inhabitants in 2011) is located in the Karpas peninsula.
By the 2016-2018 administrative reform, the municipality of Büyükkonuk should be incorporated in 2018 into the municipality of Mehmetçik.
