From the Jesenice website: V roce 2001 byl naší obci udělen předsedou poslanecké sněmovny Václavem Klausem znak a prapor. Oba symboly byly navrženy obecním zastupitelstvem, vycházely z historických skutečností a byly projednány příslušnými výbory Poslanecké sněmovny.
Znak obce Jesenice tvoří svisle rozdělený štít. V pravé polovině je položené zlaté mlýnské kolo, které upomíná na mlýny, kterých bývalo na Jesenicku několik. V levé stříbrné polovině jsou šikmo položena tři černá břevna ze znaku Mareše ze Zvěřince, prvního známého držitele Jesenice a zakladatele kostela v Jesenici (r. 1350). Modrá barva vyjadřuje čistotu zdejších vod.
Prapor obce Jesenice tvoří šikmo rozdělený obdélník. V horní modré polovině leží zlaté mlýnské kolo, v dolní stříbrné tři šikmé pruhy.
