Dreieichenhain Arms

The shield is Argent displaying an eradicated oak Vert with five leaves of the same and three acorns Or capsuled Sable.
Meaning:
The city was situated at the border of the Imperial Forest of Dreieich, and already in the 13th century the village received several rights, but complete city rights were approved in 1718 by Count Wolfgang Ernst zu Isenburg. The oldest seal, known since 1635, already shows the canting oak (Eiche) with three acorns. All later seals show the same image, but the oak was not placed upon a shield. At the end of the 19th century the oak was put upon a shield and the colours were determined. The arms, however, were not officially approved until 1956. The current arms are somehow canting referring to Dreieich here represented as an oak (Eiche) with three (drei) acorns.
