Mainhausen Banner

It is a red-white vertical bicolour with the coat of arms shifted to the top.

Mainhausen Arms

The shield is quartered of Gules and Argent. In the 1st quarter is a barrulet wavy Argent, above the barrulet is a horse forcene Argent armed and tailed Or. In the 2nd quarter is a wheel Gules. In the 3rd quarter is a stylised radio tower Gules. In the 4th quarter is a fir cone Argent.
Meaning:
Horse and barrulet are representing the former Mainflingen municipality, the fir cone the former Zellhausen municipality. The wheel is alluding to the Archbishops of Mainz, the former rulers. The tower probably is alluding to Hesse broadcasting. Mainhausen had no proper arms from 1977 until 1982. The new arms were approved by Minister of Interior of Hesse on 1 March 1982. The arms were designed by Norbert Roth.

It is a red-white-red vertical 3-stripes banner with ratio approx. 3:7:3 and the coat of arms shifted to the top within the white stripe.

Mainflingen Arms

The shield is Gules, displaying a barrulet wavy Argent, above the barrulet is a horse forcene Argent armed and tailed Or.
Meaning:
The barrulet is representing Main River. The horse is reminding on the hauling shipping, which was done by horses. The horse in the arms is sung about by a poem (in Hesse dialect) of Eduard Stock (1861-1928). The arms were approved by Minister of Interior of Hesse on 2 June 1955.

Zellhausen Arms

he shield is Gules displaying a fir cone Argent.
Meaning:
The cone is alluding to cone pickers, which used cones in bad times for heating. The arms were designed by Georg Massoth. The arms were approved by Minister of Interior of Hesse on 5 November 1954.
