The flag of the Constitutional Court is horizontally divided dark red-white-dark red (1:2:1) with the seal of the Court in the middle and the national flag (coat of arms excluded) in the canton. Dark red is the colour of the robe worn by the judges during the sessions of the Court.

The Constitutional Court of the Dominican Republic (Tribunal Constitucional de la República Dominicana, TC) is established by Article 184 of the Constitution of 26 January 2010. Its own Constitution was adopted on 13 June 2011 as Law No. 137, published on 15 June 2011 in the Official Gazette.
The Constitutional Court is the supreme organ of interpretation and control of constitutionality. The rulings of the Court are final and irrevocable; they constitute perpetual precedents for the public authorities and all the state organs. The Constitutional Court is granted administrative and budgetary autonomy from those authorities and organs.
The Constitutional Court has its seat in Santo Domingo but can hold sessions everywhere in the country.
The Constitutional Court is made of 13 members (Judges at the Constitutional Court), appointed by the National Council of Magistrature for a single, nine-year period; the Court is partially renewed every three years.
