The flag of Aldeaseca de la Frontera is prescribed by a Decree adopted
on 3 August 1995 by the Salamanca Provincial Government, signed on 10 August 1995 by the
President of the Government, and published on 22
August 1995 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 160 (text).
The flag is described
as follows:
Flag: Quadrangular flag, with proportions 1:1, quartered per saltire red and white. In the middle of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms in full colors, surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
The coat of arms of Aldeaseca de la Frontera is prescribed by a Decree
adopted on 23 March 1995 by the Salamanca Provincial Government,
signed on 10 April 1995 by the President of the Government, and
published on 25 April 1995 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 78 (text).
The coat of arms is described
as follows:
Coat of arms: Per fess, 1. Gules three thistles or, 2. Argent a chevron sable in chief a sledgehammer of the same. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
The Royal Academy of History validated the proposed arms and flags. The thistles recall the name of the place (seca, "dry"), while the chevron is taken from the arms of the Bracamonte, lords of Aldeaseca in the 16th century. As usual, the height of the coat of arms on the flag is 3/5 of the flag's size (Boletín de la Real Academia de la Historia, 1996, 193, 1: 177).
