Symbols of La Atalaya

The flag and arms of La Atalaya are prescribed by an Agreement adopted on 5 July 2018, signed on 30 October 2018 by the Mayor, and published on 21 November 2018 in the official gazette of Castilla y León, No. 225, p. 45,583 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, with three equal horizontal stripes, red, white and yellow, which are three of the colors of the fields of the coat of arms. In the center, the coat of arms over all the colors, in width 2/5 of the flag's width.
Coat of arms: Quarterly, 1. Gules a tower [atalaya] or port and windows azure on a mount proper, 2. Argent, a cork oak proper with part of the cork bark missing, 3. Or a bush of rockroses proper with two white flowers, 4. Azure a flax card proper.[Crown not mentioned]

The symbols are supported by a 56-page memoir redacted by Tomás Domínguez Cid.
The tower in the first quarter alludes to the name of the village.
The second quarter recalls cork extraction as a main source of income.
The third quarter represents the natural environment.
The carder represents the production of flax fibers, which were sold in Ciudad Rodrigo and elsewhere in the neighborhood.
