Presentation of Montearagón

The municipality of Montearagón (506 inhabitants in 2018; 1,201 ha) is located 80 km west of Toledo and 20 km east of Talavera de la Reina.

Montearagón is mostly known for the stork nest established atop the bell-tower of the parish church, of 3 m in height and 1.5 m in diameter. The Tagus Foundation, from Talavera, attempted to have the nest regestered by the Guiness Book of Records as Spain's biggest stork nest located in urban environment.
