The municipality of Mours (1,629 inhabitants in 2019; 245 ha) is located 30 km north of Paris.

Flag of Mours

The flag of Mours, hoisted in the Champagne-sur-Oise traffic circle with the flags of the other municipalities of the Communauté de communes Haut-Val-d'Oise (photo), is white with the municipal logo. Adopted in 1996, the logo highlights the main elements of the town: nature (the trees in the park of Villa Saint-Régis), water from river Oise rû de Presles, and the cemetery chapel dating from the 19th century. The sun symbolizes the village's strength and faith in the future.

The flag hoisted in the same place in 2016 (photo) was white with the municipal coat of arms, "Per bend sinister, 1. Azure three fleurs-de-lis or in orle, 2. Gules a knight contourned on a horse gallopin, a sword in his dexter hand and a shield in his sinister hand all or overall a bendlet sinister paved argent and masoned sable. A base vert a garb of wheat or surmounted by a barrulet wavy argent", and the name of the municipality below.
Mours was located on the edge of the Gallo-Roman road leading to Belgium. Having belonged to the Counts of Beaumont (the golden knight), it was ceded to the royal abbey of Saint-Denis (the three fleurs-de-lis). Crossed by two rivers (rû du Roy and Oise), the green base and the wheat garb recall the rural vocation of Mours and the hope for the future.
