Grands Travaux Algériens seems to have been a public
contractor. The company was mentioned in 1922 as commissioned by the
Chamber of Commerce of Oran to revamp the port of Nemours (today,
Ghazaouet), a port town located near the border with Morocco and once
the first fishing port in Algeria.
