Overview

I was wandering, the rank of Captain ("Captain of (Battle) Ship", if you want) holds four star, while the imidiate lower rank of Frigate Captain (i.e. Commander) has two only and LtCdr, i.e. Corvette Captan has only one. What happened whith three stars rank?
Also, where are commodores and rear admirals?
by Željko Heimer, 21 October 2001

Flagmaster publiished this flags in issue 98, summer 2000 and captain has only three stars. Four stars must be a mistake. One star is for lieutenant commander. Four stars shown in senior lieutenant pennant, 3 for lieutenant, 2 for sub-lieutenant and 1 for ensign .
Jaume Ollé, 22 October 2001

Admiral

by Željko Heimer, 21 October 2001

According to Album 2000 [pay00] - Admiral (2:3) - Swallow-tailed, white stripe along hoist with golden anchor and blue fly with three golden five-pointed stars arranged in a collumn. Nither the position of the anchor, nor that of the stars does apear to be in the middle of the fields horizontally. Ain't that odd?
The cable of the anchor in Album is shown "transparent", in this and subsequent four flags. I assumed that this is an error and I showed it with appropriate colour of the anchor.

by Željko Heimer, 21 October 2001

Željko Heimer, 21 October 2001

Flagmaster publiished this flags in issue 98, summer 2000 and captain has only three stars. Four stars must be a mistake.
Jaume Ollé, 22 October 2001

Jaume (& Flagmaster using a document which I sent to them) is right, four stars for a captain is a mistake.
Armand du Payrat, 23 October 2001

Here, the word 'ensign' doesn't mean a flag, but a naval rank, equivalent to a second-lieutenant in the army.
