Flag of Lukač

The symbols of Lukač are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Lukač, adopted on 14 September 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published in the Municipality official gazette Službeni vjesnik Općine Lukač, No. 4. This is repeated, with some differences in wording, in the current Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Lukač (text), adopted on 1 March 2013 and published in Službeni vjesnik Općine Lukač, No. 1.

The flag is described as rectangular, with a ratio of width to length of 1:2, white with the coat of arms of the Municipality of Lukač in the centre.

The Municipality Assembly decided to run a contest for the design of new symbols, apparently meaning that the former ones had not been approved by the Ministry.

The symbols, designed by Josip Strmečki [the director of a primary school, artist and otherwise much active in the cultural life] from Virovitica, were approved by the Ministry.
[Naknada za štete od elementarne nepogode, Virovitički list, 25 September 1998]
The symbols were adopted on 28 September 1998 by the Municipality Assembly, to be consecrated on 18 October, the Municipality Day.
[Za Dan općine sedam javnih priznanja, Virovitički list, 2 October 1998]
The Magistrate adopted on 1 December 1999 the changes in the symbols requested of the Ministry of Administration; so did around 15 December 1999 the Municipality Assembly.

The coat of arms is described in the 2013 Statutes as follows:

The coat of arms of the municipality of Lukač was designed in 1995 in accordance with heraldic and vexillological rules and guidelines from the Ministry of Administration and the Croatian State Archives. [...]
The coat of arms, that is, the shield of the arms of the municipality of Lukač, is rectangular in shape with the bottom part curving towards the outer side of the coat of arms.
The coat of arms is divided into red and green fields over which is a yellow winged bull with the head within a white circle.
The winged bull is the attribute of St. Luke the Evagelist, the patron and namesake of the municipality.

Former symbols of Lukač

The former symbols of Lukač were prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi mjesta i općine Lukač, adopted on 11 May 1995 by the Municipality Assembly and published in Službeni vjesnik Općine Lukač, No. 2. The Decision was amended by Decision Odluka o izmjeni Odluke o grbu i zastavi mjesta i općine Lukač, adopted on 19 March 1996 by the Municipality Assembly and published in Službeni vjesnik Općine Lukač, No. 1. The amendment removed reference to the "settlement" (mjesta) leaving only "the coat of arms and the flag of the [settlement and the] community of Lukač" in the Decision title and throughout the text.

The flag is prescribed in Article 12 of the Decision as white, in proportions 1:2, with the coat of arms in the centre.

The coat of arms is described in Article 10 of the Decision as a green shield rounded at the base, with the white castle of Kapela Dvor with a red roof, topped with three thin wavy stripes representing river Drava. The base is red with a white book of the Gospel of Luke.
It is explained that green represents the municipality with developed agriculture, that is, land cultivation and wood industry, while red is a symbol of freedom. The proportions of the arms are prescribed as 3:2.
