Iran-Jewish Menorah Flag

A goldenish-field flag with a black-outlined, deep-gold-colored, 7- candle menorah, with its candles lit. This flag was seen during an 8 Nov. 2023 conference in which the "Tehran Jewish Committee" participated in at the "Yusef Abad Synagogue" aka "Sukkot Shalom Synagogue" in Tehran. The black outline or shadowing of the menorah gives it sort of a 3D-image which somewhat makes the menorah seem to "pop out" of the flag. The Hebrew slogan [in green?] shown above the menorah reads: ואהבת לרעך כמוך -- which translates into English as: "and love your neighbor as yourself". With a similar theme, the Farsi slogan below the menorah reads: ترجمه انگلیسی – which translates into English as: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." At both the right (hoist) and left (fly) sides of this flag there are black stripes that clearly mimic the multiple parallel stripes along the sides of a "tallit"-- a shawl worn by many Jewish men and some women. [I don't mean to kvetch about it, but I mentioned that the menorah's candles are "lit" -- whereas when one views the Israeli national shield/logo of their menorah, they are not (admittedly, it doesn't even show any candles). I've read that the candles are lit primarily only during Hanukkah, and during other special occasions – but are not perpetually lit. Like the other English writer: William, perhaps I, too, am making "much ado about nothing" here.] The "Tehran Jewish Committee" is an umbrella group of Jewish organizations that work on behalf of the Persian Jews in Iran.

The second and third images show tallit stripes at bottom left corner, too; hence, they probably border the entire flag.

I originally thought that both the Hebrew and Persian wording on the flag (above and below the menorah) might read: "Tehran Jewish Committee" (TJC). I emailed that organization in Tehran and asked if they could inform me of the meaning of those slogans.

I just received a reply that the Hebrew slogan above the menorah reads: ואהבת לרעך כמוך which the TJC agent translated into English as: "and love your neighbor as yourself". The Farsi slogan below the menorah reads: ترجمه انگلیسی which translated into English means: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." So, no reference to the "Tehran Jewish Committee" on this flag.
