The flag of Masserano wasn't changed with the Ferrrero-Fieschi dinasty. In 1614 the arms of Ferrero-Fieschi (quartered: 1 and 4 - azure lion on argent; 2 and 3 - The azure band on argent) were changed: the Emperor granted the Ferrero with the right to quartered the Ferrero arms (i.e. blue lion on white) with the imperial ones (black two headed eagle on white) with Fieschi scutcheon. The arms were added to the standard, but in a modified version where the scutcheon is not present and also other changes were made. This standard was in use around 1615-1700.
