Description of the flag

Corterra apparently existed as a micronation in Kiribati in the year 1974. The flag was the blue ensign with 13 stars.
Jaume Ollé 13 September 1997

The Flag Bulletin No. 150 (January-February 1993, Volume XXXII, No. 1), dedicated to the Pseudo-states and their flags, has an article called "Flags of Imaginary Nations" written by Geir Sor-Reime (pages 31-39). In this article we can read:

Federal Republic of Corterra (proclaimed as an independent state in 1974 by Patrick D. Watters of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA) consists of several islands at the southern end of the Line Islands in the Pacific together with the islands of Malden, Starbuck, Caroline (Victoria), Vostok (Edwards), and Flint (Elizabeth). Its original name was the United Kingdom of Corralland. Corterra's creator claims to be establishing a real nation and is selling citizenship, banking licenses, etc. Its flag is a British Blue Ensign with 13 white stars.
On page 35 there is a black and white drawing of the flag of Corterra, and the arrangement of the stars is not in a circle but in six rows 1-2-1-2-3-4, with the upper star being larger, and six-pointed.

According to a Wikipedia page in Spanish (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Micronaciones), that micronation had two periods:
- the United Kingdom of Coralland that lasted from (April - as seen elsewhere) 1974 to 1989 (03th of April)
- the Federal Republic of Corterra, that is claimed since 1989

Is it possible that there have been a different flag for each period?

The name would come from "Coral Land", so there would only be one r in Coralland.

The claimed area covers the southern and central groups of the greater Line Islands Group (which is geographically divided into Northern, Central and Southern groups).

Another source (http://www.fabiovstamps.com/forum43.html), says:
"The former Kingdom of Corallaland in North Pacific had become in 1974 the Republic of Corterra" but doesn't give a beginning date for the kingdom, so I would be inclined to say that there is a confusion. That same website gives a picture of a Corterra stamp of/after 1989 (http://www.fabiovstamps.com/images/Corterra-specimen.jpg).
