The district flag was approved by the decision of the District Council on December 17, 2009 (approved by the National Commission on Heraldry on June 18, 2009). The author of the coat of arms and flag is S. Andriesh-Tabak, the artist is Yuri Kaminsky (Caminschi).

The materials of the book "SIMBOLURILE NATIONALE ALE REPUBLICII MOLDOVA" were used

The flag was published in the "Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova" 2015. Anul XXII, 6 March.
