The municipality of Centar (45,362 inhabitants; 7.52 sq.km) is one of the ten municipalities forming the city of Skopje.

The flag of Centar, adopted in 1997, is red with the municipal coat of arms in the centr.
The arms, a phoenix rising from the ashes, refer to the
rebuilding of Skopje after the devastating earthquake in 1963.

The Urban Council of the Urban Community of Mito Hadzivasilev - Jasmin, part of the municipality of Centar, adopted the community's flag and arms on 28 May 2007. Selected through a public contest and designed by the local resident Goran Gogusev, the symbols have been in official use since 6 June 2007.
The flag is quartered red-blue by a white saltire, with, in the middle, a white disk charged with a golden 16-rays sun.
