Philippine village flag

Gerard van der Vaart just drove through this little village in Zeeuwsch-Vlaanderen, near the Belgian border, and spotted a lot of village-flag-like items. Mr. Google provided him with these links: (http://www.historiephilippine.nl/infoavond.htm) and (http://62.238.37.4/inhoud.htm).
Based on that I made a gif of the Philippine village flag: Green with in the center the full former municipal arms; in the bottom
in white "Philippine".

Philippine former municipality

[Philippine flagproposal] by Jarig Bakker, 27 Oct 2004
proposal by A.J. Beenhakker, c.1970

Philippine was a separate municipality until 1970 when it merged into Sas van Gent, and was included into Terneuzen in 2003.
Flagproposal: two equally high horizontal stripes of yellow and green; in the center a white disk charged with a blue key with bit up.
The blue key is derived from the arms of Axel, and refers to the fact that Philippine was founded in 1506 in the land of Axel on the separation of the old country, with many trees (green), and the new country with cornfields (yellow)
Philippine was named after Philip I of Habsburg (1478-1506), son of Maximilian of Austria and Mary of Burgundy. He married in 1496 at the age of 18 the equally old Spanish princess Johanna of Aragon, and was the father of Emperor-King Charles V, who was born in Gent in 1500. Philip gave permission in 1505 to the foundation of the new town in the polder, Philippine (female form of Philip, in Flemish writing: Filippijne.
In 1583 the Spanish army conductor Parma had a fortress built there, the "Philipsschans", which was conquered in 1633 by Prince Willem Frederik, stadhouder of Fryslân; after that the fortress was expanded considerably.
Philippine is also well known for its oysters and mussels - most of which the fishers collect in the (Frisian) Waddenzee.
