Voivodship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Jordanów
Śląski, which lies approximately 32 kilometres (20 mi) south of the regional
capital Wrocław.

of...California and appears to be plentiful on Mars. Also, some choice

At the end of WW II most German inhabitants of the town managed to escape
the advancing Soviet troops, through Czechoslovakia to Germany. Many of
them returned home after the war only to be deported to Siberia and Kazakhstan,
or expelled to East Germany and Westphalia.
The new Arms and the brand new flag were adopted on March 31, 2009 (resolution
# XXIII/127/2009).
The Arms, chosen in the competition out of four final designs, are
described as: "on a late-gothic shield divided horizontally by a wavy,
silver and blue ribbon,
the upper part features on golden background a black half-eagle of
the Lower Silesian Piasts, and the lower, red part, shows a silver "Maltese"
cross" - four-armed and eight-pointed.
The wavy, blue and white ribbon separating the shield, represents the
river Ślęza.
Flag: a rectangle in the ratio 5:8 composed of two equal horizontal
bands: the upper one is blue and the lower one is silver (white).
The ceremonial flag of the commune bears the Arms in its center."
