Shield Argent two grape vines Vert fruited Purple in saltire and in chief a border marker Sable masoned Or with port Argent, in base a fountain Azure masoned Or effervescing Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) ""
Meaning:
The representation of what is blazoned as a border marker on this coat of arms is surprisingly different when compared with the same charge on the arms of other frontier communes (q.v.), especially given that it is expressly indicated as having an aperture (aberto do campo), as some sort of portal, and not the rustic hewn boulders these markers mostly are.
Hiperglobal websit shows for this Coat of Arms an image with significant detail differences — the border marker here is almost comically naive.
The phrase "lama de arcos" means "mud of arches" (again, no "the", making this sound weird also in the original Portuguese); given the atypical representation of the border marker as having/being an archway and considering that the fountain is playing outdoors, these arms can be considered canting.
