Meaning:
The word "moreiras" means "mulberry trees" and therefore these arms are partly canting if the twig is indeed mulberry and nor of some other tree.

Moreiras was one of the 30 communes of Chaves Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 216 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 9,23 km².
