Shield Sable a sword flambant Or in pale holding a scales Argent, flanked by two milk jugs Or, in base a Romanic portal Or, everything set per cross. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers(village rank) and white scroll in short toponym style reading in black upper case serifed letters "OUTEIRO SECO".
Meaning:
Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint.

Outeiro Seco was one of the 30 communes of Chaves Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 849 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 15,21 km².
