Shield Azure with base wavy Argent two barrulets wavy Azure a comet Argent flanked by two grape bunches Or leafed Argent, in chief two keys in saltire with the one in bend being Or over the one in bend sinister being Argent and both with their wards pointing upwards and outwards. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SÃO PEDRO DE AGOSTÉM".
Meaning:
The crossed keys are an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The word "São" ("Saint") is abbreviated to "S." in the scroll, which is an exceptional case.

São Pedro de Agostém was one of the 30 communes of Chaves Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 1323 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 16,70 km².
