Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Vert, charged with a bundle of flashes Or, issuant from base a rocky plateau of Sable and Argent, crowned by a fortress Or masoned Sable with two Spanish turrets, in central chief a grapevine Or leaved Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "CARCAVELOS - CASCAIS".
Meaning:
The fortress is representing the local Fortificação do Junqueiro. The grapevine is symbolizing the delicious local wines. The flash bundle is representing Cabo Submarino power station. The green waves in base are representing the Atlantic.

Carcavelos Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Cascais Municipality (q.v.); it had 23 347 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 4.5 km².

Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VILA DE PAREDE".
Meaning:
The blue colour is symbolizing air and sky, but also loyalty, charity and serenity. The golden colour is symbolizing sun, light, faith, purity, strength and steadfastness. The silver colour is symbolizing humility, peace and tranquillity. The black colour is symbolizing firmness and honesty.
