Shield Argent a throughout tau cross Azure, flanked at dexter by an olive branch Vert fruited Sable and at sinister by a pine branch Vert fruited Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "BENESPERA".
Meaning:
The tau cross is an attribute of St. Anthony, the local patron saint. It is actually, acc. to blazon, a fess on chief with an annexed pale.

Benespera is one of the 34 communes of Guarda Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 281 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 18,16 km².
