Shield Argent an oven Sable masoned Argent with flames of Gules and Or, on chief a Paschal Lamb couchant Azure, on base a mattock and a fork in saltire, both Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FERNÃO JOANES".
Meaning:
The Paschal Lamb is an attribute of St. John the Baptist, the local patron saint.
