Meaning:
Unlike other Portuguese communal arms showing a millwheel blazoned as "rodízio" (lit. arch. "gearwheel"), in these arms this is shown as a
three-dimensional view of the whole implement, with proeminent vertical shaft and crank notch, and the wheel itself at the bottom, as an ellipse,
due to perspective.

Lazarim was one of the 14 communes of Lamego Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 407 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 16,54 km².
