It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of green and white.

Shield Argent, issuant from base a mount Sable,charged with a bar wavy Argent, charged with a barrulet wavy Azure, and crowned by a castle Azure with port and windows Argent, in chief a winged serpent Vert, flanked by two eradicated pine trees Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "MARRAZES".
