Shield Purpure an arch Or made of ashlars, issuant from base a mount Argent charged with a 6-point star Azure and abased parted by a bar wavy of the same. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "CASTELO – MOIMENTA DA BEIRA".
Meaning:
The arch is a representation of the local heritage. The mount is a representation of the sanctuary of Our Lady of Conception, the local patron saint. The star is one of her attributes. The bar wavy is a representation of the creeks Tedo and Leomil.

Castelo is one of the 13 communes of Moimenta da Beira Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 196 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 6,42 km².
