Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent, Vert and Azure, a porticus Argent masoned Sable, flanked by two anchors Or, the open door is charged with a Latin cross Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "FREGUESIA DE MATOSINHOS".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing the mouth of little Leça River, for green is representing the sea and blue sweet waters. The porticus is the local monument of "padrão do bom jesus", literally the "guideline of Good Jesus".

The base wavy is representing the sea and the lighthouse is a naturalistic image of the local fire.
