Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "ALVAÇÕES DO CORGO".
Meaning:
The phrase "alvações do Corgo" seems to mean something like "Corgo rapids" or more accurately "whitewaters of the Corgo". The wavy base on the arms makes it partly canting for the River Corgo. The steam locomotive on the arms refers to the local train station, unusually located within the village itself, part of the 1906-2010 meter-gauge 70 km long Régua-Chaves Railway, see English WIKIPEDIA. The bridge on the arms refers to an actual 12th century masonry bridge, see this webpage.
