Two wells Sable, masoned Argent pouring water Azure, ordered per fess, between a grape bunch Purpure leafed Vert on central chief and a triplemount Vert garnished Or issuant from base. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FONTES - SANTA MARTA DE PENAGUIÃO".
Meaning:
The water pouring wells are punning elements, representing fountains (Portuguese: fontes)

Fontes is one of the five communes of Santa Marta de Penaguião Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 662 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 16,42 km².
