Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SEVER – SANTA MARTA DE PENAGUIÃO".
Meaning:
The charges of the upper half are alluding to viticulture, represented by the leaves, and the cultivation of olives. The sticks are used to shake the ripe fruit down from the olive trees.

Sever is one of the five communes of Santa Marta de Penaguião Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 581 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 6,14 km².
