Shield parted per chevron, above Gules five fig leaves Vert garnished Or ordered 2:1:2, the three leaves below seen only partially, beneath Vert fimbriated Or with base wavy of Argent and Azure, above charged with a bunch of grapes Or.Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SILGUEIROS".

Silgueiros is one of the 18 communes of Viseu Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 2960 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 36,86 km².
