Shield Or, in base a mountain issuant Azure crowned by a monastery Proper (Argent, realized as grey masoned Sable), in dexter chief an inescutcheon Azure charged with five plates in quincunx, in sinister chief an inescutcheon Sable charged with two keys Or crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILA DE PEDROSO".
Meaning:
The blue inescutcheon is representing the kingdom of Portugal, the black inescutcheon is representing the old fiefdom of Pedroso, the monastery is that one of Pedroso.

Pedroso Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vila Nova de Gaia Municipality (q.v.); it had 18 714 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 19.7 km².
