Shield Argent cotised Azure and Argent, on base a tower Gules with port and windows Or, on chief a goshawk Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SANTA BÁRBARA — VILA DO PORTO".
Meaning:
The goshawk (Portuguese: açor) is symbol and name giver of the archipelago. The tower is an attribute of St. Barbara, patron saint and name giver of the commune.

Santa Bárbara is one of the five communes of Vila do Porto Municipality; it had 405 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 15,42 km².
