Shield Vert charged with a quartered Baroque shield with framework Or, 1st and 4th quarter Argent charged with five inescutcheons Azure, each one charged with five bezants in quincunx, 2nd and 3rd quarter Or a lion rampant Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "VILA DE PRADO".
Meaning:
Tricky, but nevertheless not officialised by CHAAP. Shields with partitions are not allowed, but an inescutcheon might be interpreted as a charge. Please note, that the "quinas" here are not charged with plates but with bezants instead. The lion might be also squirrel or even a beaver. The 1st and 4th quarter display simplified Portuguese arms, the others probably display the arms of local noblemen.
