Shield Azure, a tower Argent masoned Sable with windows of the same, flanked by a sinister facing lion rampant Or at dexter and a wyvern rampant Or at sinister, on central chief point a 5-point star Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, reading in black upper case serifed letters "ALCOFRA".
Meaning:
The tower is alluding to the important role of the commune in the past. Lion and dragon are symbolising the Christian defense of Cofre against pagan enemies. The star is an attribute of Our Lady of Assumption, the local patron saint.

Alcofra is one of the six communes of Vouzela Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 910 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 28,32 km².
