Shield Argent a mount issuant Vert charged with a stone Argent, on chief two stones Gules ordered per fess. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FORNELO DO MONTE".
Meaning:
Sérgio Horta´ displays three stones of equal shape, while source below displays the white stone different and of bigger size. The mountain (Portuguese: monte) might be a canting element.

Fornelo do Monte is one of the six communes of Vouzela Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 256 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 15,24 km².
