Shield Vert a pair of scales Or balanced by a sword flamant Argent hilted Or, on dexter chief point an anvil Argent, on sinister chief point a lyre of the same, on base an irregular boscage Argent with trees Sable all seen from above. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "S. MIGUEL DO MATO - VOUZELA".
Meaning:
The arms are at least partially canting, as sword and scales are an attribute of St. Michael, the local patron saint and name giver of the commune. The boscage (Portuguese: mato or mata) is another canting element.

São Miguel do Mato is one of the six communes of Vouzela Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 808 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 9,11 km².
