The new logo was adopted in October 2020. The former logo was changed since it does not reflect the town's geographical, cultural and visual features. The public context organized by the municipality did not yield any eligible design. Accordingly, the municipality commissioned Özgür Kalın to design a logo, which he offered for free to his town.

The triangle recalls the triangular shape of the municipal territory. It also represents the town's natural resources: air, water and soil.
The Şavşat house, built in wood, stone nd other stuff, is the symbol of the region's traditional and peaceful life, connected with the soil and natural environment. The whole life has been organized around these buildings for centuries.
The mountain, the stream and the forest represent Şavşat's unique natural beauties. The municipal territory hosts one of the world's most diversified flora and fauna, with several endemic species.
The everlasting flower is collected every year by the inhabitants of Şavşat at 2,000-2,500 m in elevation. As a symbol, it hangs in each house's most beautiful place and keeps its flavor for months and years. It symbolizes the permanence of the Republic's educative values.

The logo's color is a mix of the region's two most important colors, blue and green. Blue represents the neighboring black sea, dozens of lakes and hundreds of streams. Green represents a unique natural environment composed of forests, meadows and pastures.
